Individual psychotherapy at Rock Creek Clinical is practice-based, which means your therapist draws on modalities with a meaningful evidence base, among them cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and acceptance-based frameworks, selecting and combining them in response to what a particular person needs at a particular moment in treatment. Sessions are structured around genuine clinical engagement rather than manualized routine, and the therapeutic relationship itself is understood as part of the mechanism of change.
Our therapists are independently licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, or PhD) and matched to your care based on your goals and the modalities best suited to them. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly to start.
